Project Implementation

The City of Pomona was the specimen city, however any municipality with access to Metrolink and a desire to integrate a transit area into their economic development program would benefit from the study.

Project Results Description

There were no actual emission reductions included. This project was for development of a plan with no implementation phase attached. The final report projects that if one household reduced its trips by one trip per day, there would be nine fewer pounds of Reactive Organic Gases (ROG) and twelve fewer pounds of Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) emitted. The benefits rise expoentially with increased households participating in use of the transit center.

Project Status Description

Schematics, plans for mixed use facilities, funding sources, drawings, maps and photographs. The final report is a step-by-step guide to establishing a transit center.
