The City of Fullerton is transitioning its fleet to cleaner forms of alternative energy. After the aquisition of a larger parcel of property adjacent to the existing corporate yard, an opportunity was presented to develop the infrastucture to transition the fleet as well as provide a valuable utility to the community.

Project is complete and fully implemented. 2 heavy-duty vacuum trucks are in service. 200 scfm total compressor is online and servicing 4 hose time-fills and public 2 hose fast-fills.

This project's intent was to jump start that transition with the purchase of 2 heavy-duty natural gas fueled vehicles and the installation of a compressed natural gas fueling faciltiy to service city vehicles and allow public access.
The project has additional area where expansion can be done. The city is evaluating the possiblity of adding additional compressors and storage to meet the needs of the community.
Project has been a success by providing the region with another CNG fueling facility and continues to be a popular community resource. The station is at full capacity and a possible expansion is in development.
