The latest edition of Clean Air Roadmap, the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee's (MSRC) electronic newsletter, is hot off the presses. This edition contains articles about the MSRC's newly expanded two-year work program, and the MSRC's annual retreat. The latter piece highlights the expert speakers that presented their views about the South Coast region's air pollution challenges and what will be needed to meet the region's clean air goals. Also, on the heels of Carmageddon II, the results from the comprehensive air studies from Carmageddon I were published, so this edition's Facts at a Glance looks back at the dramatic air quality improvements that happened during the first shutdown of the 405 freeway last year.
The newsletter's featured article presents an exciting look at this year's LA Auto Show from the clean transportation perspective. The various electric and plug-in electric vehicles that were on display are chronicled, as well as an overview of the briefing held by the California Electric Transportation Coalition for business and environmental leaders.
