The Telework Center was the first in Orange County which provided an opportunity for commuters to travel to work via electronic highways instead of congested freeways. The system provided business services and economic stimulus to the downtown Anaheim Redevelopment Area and a multitude of other communities and employment centers located throughout Southern California.

This particular project was located in Anaheim. It would be expected that the users came from within a 50 mile radius of the Anaheim site resulting in a wide area of emission reduction.
The potential for 20 telework stations was: reduce up to 80 one-way commute trips per day or 20,800 per year; reduce up to 1,280 vehicle miles traveled per day or 332,800 Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT), based upon an average commuting distance of 16 miles one day; reduce up to 1,610.72 tons of mobile source emissions per year; save approximately 22,187 gallons of gasoline per year (@ avg. 15 mpg), and reduce the cost of traveling by $91,520 per year (@0.275 per mile per the Auto Club).
