The GIS system developed by this project is useful to any community. The application made by GIS for this particular program is not the only application the GIS can provide to municipalities.
The model quantified potential air qualilty benefits that may be attributed to various transportation and policy actions. The model listed these emission reductions from a comprehensive subregional perspective rather than on a project by project basis. Anticipated emissions reductions in Orange County were obtained by enabling OCTA to provide public transportation operations which were more efficient and effective.
