Contractor developed the Regional Transit Database Information Exchange Project (RTDIE) and facilitated the inter-agency exchange of transit route and schedule information to enable any interested person, organization, company, or interactive computer terminal/kiosk to receive information for all fixed route transit and rail operations within the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

The Los Angeles areas served by rail and the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Work continues to develop participant capability from all four counties.

Project Results Description

The database produced by this study will generate a quantity of emission reductions as travelers avail themselves of the information the project presents - all rail, bus, and surface transportation methods are combined making cross town travel easier and eliminating the automobile as sole means of transportation.
