Contractor constructed a four-story parking garage which provides 425 parking spaces adjacent to the Regional Transportation Center (RTC). This structure replaced an existing parking lot which had 130 spaces. There were 295 spaces added. The new structure has a bridge connecting it to the RTC. Bus passenger loading areas were improved. Driveway approaches were reconstructed. Six bicycle lockers were installed adjacent to the RTC. Sidewalks and landscaping were improved.

The City of Santa Ana benefits by having adequate parking for mass transit users. Available parking adjacent to the train is an inducement for potential passengers. The source of the new transit riders was not determined.
