Contractor developed two educational modules, one for science classes and one for social science classes, to be presented to middle school children in the Southern California area. The science module focused on sources of air pollution and its harmful effects. The social science module stressed the methods government, industry, and individuals could use to reduce emissions. The modules each included teachers guides, a video, pre-tests and post-tests, posters, student activities packets, practice exercises and family work sheets.

The program was introduced into 750 middle schools in Southern California.
This is a study contract aimed at middle schoolers. No direct emission reductions could be quantified. The instruction curriculum has the potential of raising awareness of both the student and his/her family of the pollution problem and introduces methods of reductions.
The details of the program are delineated above.
