Project Background

In an effort to reduce air pollution in the South Coast Air Basin, the City of Redlands operates a number of alternative fuel vehicles including three rubber-tired trolleys. Any new (non public safety) fleet vehicles purchased by the City will be fueled by LNG or LCNG.

Project Implementation

The City contracted with Gladstein and Associates to prepare an RFP for the design and construction of the fueling station. The City used its bid procedures to award the contract to General Physics Corportion.

Project Objectives

The purpose of this project is to construct a LNG/LCNG fueling station located at the Redlands Corporate Yard. Redlands is the lead agency acting on behalf of the Cities of Highland, Yucaipa and the Redlands Unified School District. The station is accessible to those who possess a gas reader card on a 24 hour per day, seven day a week basis.
