The City of La Quinta implemented a soil stabilization project in an effort to reduce wind blown PM-10 emissions. Vegetative stabilization and landscape setbacks were constructed adjacent to Washington Street and Miles Avenue. The project encompassed approximately 1,350 linear feet on Washington Street and approximately 2,000 linear feet on Miles Avenue. The project stabilized approximately 107,200 square feet of previously disturbed soil within the right-of-way owned by the City of La Quinta.
