Other Information
Alternative fuel stations do not directly generate emission reductions, but are an essential element of an alternative fuel vehicle implementation program. Prior to station construction, Southland Transit was refueling their existing fleet of 2o CNG buses at the Foothill Transit CNG station located in Irwindale. By constructing their own station, Southland Transit is now able to transition their entire bus fleet of 45 buses to low emission vehicles, thus benefiting from additional emission reductions.
