MSRC Award
$32,500.00
Project Background

With the release of PA2007-05, the MSRC announced clean air project funding opportunities exclusively to cities and counties within the AQMD. The funds available were designed to encourage the construction of alternative fuel infrastructure and modifications to vehicle service facilities. Cathedral City staff determined that funds in the amount of $32,500 were available to the City and proposed to City Council to use these funds towards improvements to the city garage to accommodate the repair of CNG vehicles. In May 2007, the MSRC accepted the Citys grant application to be used to meet fleet rules 1191 and 1196 to support the goals of clean air and a healthier environment. The AQMD formally approved the grant funding in September 2009
