The Perris Union High School District (District) purchased 23 new CNG Buses for student transportation. The transportation service providor, Hemet Unified School District, was fueling the buses at their CNG station in Hemet in order to transport Perris Union High School District Students. A CNG station at the PUHSD Transportation yard was needed to more efficiently run our student transportation.

After being awarded the contract the District worked with PJHM Architects and clean fuel consultant Herbert Burnett of Burnett & Burnette to design the CNG station on the existing Maintenance & Transportation property. The District formally bid the project and awarded the Fueling Station Contract to GESI in March 2010.
Provide 24 Time-fill and one (1) Fast-fill fueling station to service District buses as well as public, local government, local commerical, or future District vehicles.
The station is complete and buses are being fueled on a daily basis. The District has also received interest from the City of Perris and CR&R, the local waste collection company, to use this station for vehicle refueling.
The new refueling station opened on December 2, 2010 at the Perris Maintenance Facility located at the corner of Metz Road and A Street in the City of Perris.
