Project Implementation

Bids were solicited for the replacement of 5 diesel powered refuse vehicles that were due for replacement plus the additional 2 refuse vehicles purchased. The bids were awarded, vehicles have been recieved and have been placed in regular service.

Project Objectives

The City of Ontario continue to be a willing participant in various clean air programs. By moving a large percentage of our fleet to dedicated CNG vehicles, the City's remains committed to do their part to guarantee a safe and clean environment for the community.

Project Results Description

The City of Ontario has now placed the 7 CNG refuse vehicles in regular service. There has not been any major engine problems with these vehicles.
