The City of Paramount is dedicated to maintaining a healthy environment for our residents. One step we have made is to lower our emissions by purchasing alternative fuel vehicles for our fleet. We have continued this trend with help from the MSRC to purchase a CNG Aerial Lift Truck.

The City procured the vehicle through the California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) list by way of Thorson GMC Truck located in Pasadena, CA in January of 2009. Once the dealership received the vehicle, it was sent out for the CNG conversion to be done. Upon completion, the vehicle was delivered to the City and subsequently put into use in July of 2009. The aerial truck that the City previously owned was sent to auction for heavy/large equipment.
To purchase a CNG Aerial Lift Truck to replace an older model Truck powered by a diesel engine.
The new truck has provided a more reliable vehicle for the Citys fleet that greatly benefits the environment because it conforms to the Clean Air Act requirements.
