At their February 15, 2018 meeting, the MSRC extended the deadline for their Local Government Partnership Program from March 2 to August 2.  Several eligible cities had communicated timing difficulties faced in getting on their Councils’ calendars in time to meet the original date.  Additionally, the MSRC noted that some applicants might face budget scheduling issues.

The MSRC’s Local Government Partnership Program deadline is fast approaching - submittals are due by 11:59 pm on March 2. The program offers local agencies that participate in the AB 2766 Motor Vehicle Subvention Fund Program a pro-rata share of the $21 million in available funding to “jump-start” clean transportation projects that will be needed to successfully implement the 2016 Air Quality Management Plan developed by the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

The Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) recently approved $21 million for cities and counties within the South Coast air district to invest in local clean vehicle, fuel and transportation projects through its new Local Government Partnership Program.

The MSRC’s 2017 Local Government Partnership Program offers local agencies that participate in the AB 2766 Motor Vehicle Subvention Fund Program a pro-rata share of the MSRC’s available funding, avoiding the need for a competitive grant process or to award funding on a first-come, first-served basis.

The MSRC is excited to support the World Series bound LA Dodgers by funding the wildly successful Dodger Stadium Express for the seventh year in a row. Operated by LA Metro, the Dodger Stadium Express will offer free bus service for ticketholders for all World Series home games as it has throughout their amazing 2017 season and playoff run. More than a million fans have taken the Dodger Stadium Express since the service first started.
