$10 Million Clean Truck Funding Opportunity for MSRC-SCAG Last Mile Freight Initiative

The Call for Projects is now open for the Southern California Association of Governments’ (SCAG) $10 million Last Mile Freight Program, made possible by Clean Transportation Funding from the MSRC. The match-funding program will support “last mile” transportation technology to help goods movement providers invest in cleaner trucks and infrastructure.

Additional Funding Available for Class 8 Trucks in VIP Plus Up Program

The MSRC is excited to announce that it is offering an additional $25,000 for eligible Class 8 trucks through the Voucher Incentive Plus Up Program. The maximum combined incentive for Class 8 trucks has been increased from $100,000 to $125,000. So, smaller fleets (10 or fewer trucks) can get even more money when they purchase a Class 8 truck with a new, lower-emission engine which meets or exceeds the optional low NOx standard of 0.02 g/bhp-hr.
 

$20 Million Available for Inland Empire Goods Movement Centers to Transition to Zero and Near-Zero Vehicle Operations

The Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) has $20 million in Clean Transportation Funding available for warehouses, distribution centers and intermodal facilities located in the Inland Empire to reduce vehicle emissions from their goods movement operations. There are two opportunities for zero- and near-zero vehicles and supporting infrastructure – one for on-road trucks and one for cargo-handling equipment.
